LIFELINE GSM ALARM
ANNUAL PLAN £195
The Lifeline Digital GSM Alarm is ideal for those who don't have a landline. Instead of plugging into your telephone line, the GSM Alarm uses a SIM card to connect to a mobile phone network in your area. The SIM card inside your alarm will search for the strongest mobile signal and connect to the number one network.
No Landline Required!
All Lifeline GSM Alarms come with the SIM card, which will have been installed before it's shipped to you. Once your alarm has arrived, you simply need to plug it in to the mains power in your home.
After plugging it in, press the red help button on the GSM Alarm unit. This will send an alert call through to our 24/7 Response Team. They will complete a test call with you to ensure the SIM card is working correctly and that everything else is functioning as it should. They'll also confirm some details with you regarding your account with Lifeline24.
How Does It Work?
The Lifeline GSM Alarm comes with a comfortable wearable pendant. The user can choose to wear the pendant on their wrist or around their neck. In an emergency, simply push this button and our Response Team will handle the rest. They'll speak to you via the loudspeaker in the alarm unit in order to assess the situation. Then they'll arrange whatever assistance you need. This could include calling your emergency contacts or phoning an ambulance if needed.
No Hidden Costs!
There are no extra SIM card costs involved. Once you have the alarm, everything (including calls) is included in the price you pay today.
If you as the alarm user or the person you are ordering for are chronically ill or disabled then you do not have to pay VAT for this service. If you select 'yes' for VAT exemption using the dropdown above, no VAT will be added to your purchase price. You will need to complete a short VAT relief form, which you can do by phoning Lifeline24 on 0800 999 0400. Alternatively, you can simply fill in and return the VAT relief form which we will include in your customer welcome pack. If you do not qualify for VAT exemption, please select 'no' on the dropdown instead.

Who is the Lifeline GSM Alarm for?
The Lifeline GSM Alarm is ideal for people who want the reassurance of a Lifeline Alarm but do not have an active landline connection at their home.
For those who have an active landline, we would recommend the Lifeline Vi Alarm system.
Please note: the GSM pendant has a range of up to 100 metres. This will cover you throughout your home and garden. However, the alarm cannot be used while out and about. If you are looking for protection and peace of mind wherever you go, we would recommend the Lifeline GO, our new GPS-enabled personal alarm.
What are the benefits of a GSM Alarm system?
GSM alarm systems have several advantages over traditional telecare alarms:
- No landline necessary - more and more people are relying solely on their mobile phones. In fact, more than 20% of UK households no longer have a landline connection.
- Flexible set-up - with no need to plug it into a telephone socket, you can place the GSM Alarm unit anywhere you like. As long as it's within reach of a power socket, it can be installed wherever you like.
- Digital Switchover-ready - the digital telephone switchover is already underway, scheduled for completion in 2025. Anyone with a Lifeline Alarm will not be affected by this switchover - your alarm is future-proof.
