The pendant can be worn around your neck or your wrist, with both attachments included inside the box. The choice is completely up to the user and the pendant has been designed to be as comfortable as possible. The sleek and compact design means that it isn’t heavy and can be worn throughout the day, even when you are popping out to the shops.
How it works
Once your base unit and pendant are set-up, help will literally be just one click away. If you suffer from a fall or have a medical issue in your home then this is the process which will happen:
- You need to press the big red button on your pendant or base unit.
- This will send an alert call to your 24/7 Response Team.
- A member of the Response Team will try and communicate with you over the base unit’s loudspeaker system.
- After assessing your situation, he or she will contact your emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
Our Response Team are available 24/7, 365 days a year in order to provide you with the help you need. The Response Team is accredited by the Telecare Services Association – which means you will receive the quickest and highest quality of service.
When you order your Life Alert system you will be asked to confirm your emergency contacts. In most cases our customers select family members, close friends or neighbours. We recommend that you choose between five and six contacts.
Don’t worry if you press you alarm by mistake as the Response Team are always happy to hear from you. It will also be a good test for the alarm to ensure that your system is working properly.
