In our latest Meet The Team blog we speak with Senior Marketing Executive Laura about her role here at LifeConnect24.
Laura has been with the company since last November and works closely with the rest of the Digital Marketing team to ensure that our website looks and works brilliantly.

- Hobbies and interests: I’m a bit of a book worm and enjoy writing as well. I also love to travel and explore new places.
What is your role at LifeConnect24 and what does this involve?
I am a Senior Marketing Executive so my role is varied and what I do changes from day to day! You can find me doing anything from updating our Facebook page to improving our website, or writing interesting blog posts for our customers. In fact, I write lots of content for our website so there’s a good chance that you’ll already have read something written by me.
I am also involved in various projects behind the scenes that help expand the services we offer – There is always something exciting going on here at LifeConnect24!
What do you enjoy most about working here?
There are many things I enjoy about working for LifeConnect24 but working with like-minded, friendly colleagues is definitely up there. We all have a common goal of providing our customers with a service that brings them peace of mind and ultimately keeps them safe.
I also like the communication aspect of my job. I enjoy being able to chat with customers via our social media channels and providing them with useful content through our blog and other news outlets.
Any memorable stories whilst at work?
I have many stories to tell, but I have to firstly say that every time I hear about an alarm user whose Lifeline has helped them to remain independent or has saved their life makes me so proud of what we do!
I once had a memorable conversation with an 80-year-old lady who had worked as a dancer and travelled all around the world on cruise ships and tours – she told me some amazing stories! She had a house in London and had a lifeline alarm for when she was at home, which wasn’t very often as she was still jetting off around the world every few weeks. She was inspirational and I often wonder where she’s travelling too next!
What would you say to elderly people who are considering joining our service?
Have a question? Ask us. Our Customer Service team are exceptional and are always willing to help. Whether you’re making an initial enquiry or asking a question about a button on your Lifeline, we are here to help you – there are no ‘stupid’ questions!
Having an alarm in your home seems daunting to some at first but our current customers will tell you just how invaluable the lifeline system is! It’s simple and quick to set up, in fact it can be done within 24 hours so you won’t have to deal with a long, drawn-out process.
Ultimately, wearing an alarm increases your confidence and allows you to remain independent in your own home which is often the most important issue for older people.
