We are extremely delighted to have been awarded the Bronze level award of the Norfolk Carbon Charter 2017.
The Norfolk Carbon Charter is an award that recognises ‘carbon reduction measures in small and medium businesses’. The Charter, which is provided through BEE Anglia, is available for any eligible businesses across both Norfolk and Suffolk. It aims to provide recognition for green achievements and is a fantastic way of gaining local recognition and standing out from the crowd and connecting with other like-minded businesses.
What’s so great about the Norfolk Carbon Charter?
Targeted exclusively at small and medium businesses, the Charter is attainable for companies that do not employ a full-time energy manager, and that can’t afford a rigorous Environmental Management System… The Carbon Charter is designed to be both meaningful and attainable for any business. Whether you’re just starting out, or want to get formal recognition for your green achievements, this Charter will give you local recognition in a way your customers can understand.
The charter, which is widely recognised and established by the Environment Agency, the Chamber of Commerce, and also backed by Norfolk County Council, has three levels of awards. These are Gold, Silver and Bronze. According the the Charter Level guidance the Bronze award is awarded to those businesses that take their carbon impact seriously and who are “committed to know carbon emissions & have made a clear commitment to reduce them”.
We are very proud to receive this award and be accredited for our commitment to reducing carbon levels across our business in Norfolk.
