The Lifeline system is designed with simplicity in mind. It’s easy to install and simple to use. This guide to the red button alarm system will tell you everything you need to know about our service.
Your red button alarm system includes the Lifeline Vi Alarm base unit, which simply needs to be plugged into your telephone socket and a power socket. Once this is complete, you just need to plug your telephone into the back of the alarm unit using the phone adaptor provided.
The unit features three coloured buttons and a loudspeaker. If you feel unwell or have a fall in your home, you can press the red button to raise a call for help. The green button will let you cancel an alarm call, but please note that false alarms are no problem! If you press your alarm by mistake, we recommend letting it ring through to our Response Team. When they answer the call, just let them know that everything is fine. The yellow button is labelled Home/Away. You won’t ever need to press this button unless the Response Team directs you to.
During an alarm call, the Response Team will speak to you through the alarm’s built-in loudspeaker. The system is loud enough to be heard even if you are not close to the alarm unit.
