Features of the Lifeline Vi Alarm Unit
- Loudspeaker – The Lifeline Vi Alarm includes a loudspeaker, which will be used by the Response Team to communicate with the alarm user in an emergency. It's designed to be heard by the alarm user even if they're in another room.
- Microphone – A built-in microphone will allow you to speak with the Response Team when you need help. You'll be able to tell them what has happened, and they will respond by sending help to your home.
- Red Button – You should push the red button if you require assistance. This will connect you to our Response Team.
- Green Button – The green button is the cancel button. Just press this if you have pressed the red button by mistake.
- Yellow Button - The yellow button is the home/away button. This can be pressed if you’re going to be away from your home for a long period of time.
- Support Battery - This ‘support’ battery will fire-up if your home suffers from a power cut. The battery has a 40-hour charge and will automatically recharge itself once power has been restored to your home
How does the Personal Alarm Unit Work?
The Lifeline Vi Alarm Unit is connected to the sleek and stylish MyAmie Pendant, which you can wear around your wrist or around your neck. Once the system has been installed and tested, you will be covered by our TSA Accredited Response Team - who are available all year round, 24/7 and provide a platinum service.
Should you feel unwell or suffer a fall, you simply need to press the red button on your pendant or base unit. This sends an alert through to the Response Team, who will respond immediately via the loudspeaker.
Our Team will ask you a few questions about what has happened. They will assess the situation and take the appropriate action straight away. This commonly involves calling for your emergency contacts, who you choose during the set-up process. Most people choose family members, neighbours, and close friends.
If you need medical help, the Response Team will also contact the emergency services on your behalf. Any medical information will also be passed on to the paramedics so that they are in the best possible position to help you once they arrive.
