The Lifeline Phone Alert System wouldn’t be complete with our 24-Hour Response Team. Our highly trained team is accredited by the Telecare Services Association. They’ll be on hand to help with any emergency situation. They are available 365 days a year to ensure that you receive the best possible service 24/7.
When you push your red help button, the Response Team will instantly receive an alert. A member of the team will respond within seconds, via the loudspeaker on the base unit. The team member will assess your situation and arrange whatever help you need, reassuring you while you wait.
In most cases, they will call your emergency contacts (family, friends and neighbours). If needed, they’ll also call the emergency services to come and assist you.
Once installed, the system’s base unit allows you to communicate with our 24/7 Response Team. The base unit has a built-in microphone and loudspeaker, loud enough for you to hear our team even if you’re in a different room.
Having this technology also means that you can use the Lifeline Phone Alert System as your telephone. If your telephone rings, simply push the red button on your pendant and the base unit will answer via the loudspeaker. Not only does this allow you to hear the caller better, but it also saves you having to get up or reach for your telephone.
Alongside the red button pendant, there are also three buttons on the base unit. The red button works the same way as the pendant – pressing the red button on the base unit will raise a call for help. The green button will cancel an alarm call. However, if you raise the alarm by accident, please don’t worry – just let it ring through and tell our Response Team that everything is alright. The yellow button is the Home/Away button; you won’t need to use this unless someone from the Response Team prompts you to.
The second part of the Lifeline Phone Alert System is the pendant button. This stylish device can be worn around your wrist or your neck. Both attachments are included alongside the pendant, which means the choice is yours. A third alternative is to wear it as a belt clip.
The pendant button has waterproof functionality, which means that you can keep it on in the bath and shower. This is ideal as falls are common among older people in the bathroom. The pendant will work throughout your home and garden, as it has a range of up to 100 metres. The Response Team may ask you to test the range of your alarm outside during the test call.
If you fall or feel unwell at any time, simply press the red button on your pendant. This will send an alert call through to the Response Team, who will respond instantly. As mentioned, you can also use the red button pendant to answer your telephone – allowing you to remain comfortable in your chair.
